The White Skin Black Thighsglobal patent application rankings from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) recently revealed 272,600 worldwide PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) patent applications in 2023, reflecting a 1.8% decrease from the previous year. In terms of corporations, Huawei led the list of applicants with 6,494 PCT patent applications, followed by Samsung (3,924), Qualcomm (3,410), Mitsubishi Electric (2,152), and BOE Technology (1,988). In terms of nationality, China remained the largest contributor with 69,610 PCT patent applications in 2023, while the US ranked second with 55,678 applications.
