Bilibili’s main site operating center has been replaced by five relatively independent category units in a recent overhaul981 Archives according to a Monday report by media outlet LatePost. The move comes as part of efforts to split the video streaming platform’s content operations team to enable it to be more focused and boost quality content. According to the report, the five stand-alone units are designed to oversee separate comprehensive categories: animation, games, music, film, and entertainment. As part of the restructuring, Bilibili has also separated its livestreaming and video operations teams as the company pushes “value-added services” including livestreaming, which contributed to 44% of total earnings last year, as the firm looks to accelerate its path to profitability.
