The service now charges Chinese buyers a one-time fee of RMB 64,000 ($8,828), according to the report. The news comes after Tesla chief executive Elon Musk met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Beijing last month and China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), a top auto industry group, confirmed that Tesla’s China-made vehicles are compliant with the country’s data security requirements.
